WotC just announced the MTGO Schedule for Return to Ravnica release dates. As planned, QT#2 will start 2 weeks after release starts. Since RTR is scheduled to be released on Oct 15th, therefore QT #2 will start promptly on October 29th.

Registration for QT #2 is now open and will close at 11:59:59pm EDT on Saturday October 27th. Any entries submitted after this time will be rejected. A valid entry includes a decklist in .txt format and needs to be sent to classicquarterleague at gmail.com. Return to Ravnica cards will be legal for this QT.

Your e-mail address
will be made “public” to those that also signed-up for the
tournament, so please use some discretion and use a personal account
instead of your work account, etc.  Anyone caught trying to
register multiple accounts will result in a permanent ban from the
League and future Seasons.

One change I would like to make for QT #2 is to have the match results due Sunday night, as opposed to Saturday night. It was clear that not having the whole weekend to play matches was difficult for some to manage, especially those in other countries. While this may result in me not being able to post matches until Tuesday due to my work schedule (which requires extensive travel, including International travel), I think this is a worthwhile trade-off.

Also, we are now accepting donations on a rolling basis for QT #2. Some people have already been kind enough to send their donation. As with QT #1 we are suggesting a minimum donation of 10 tickets or comparable Classic playable cards; foils will be gladly accepted. A donation is not required for entry, but is suggested to keep our prize pool.

When making a 
donation, please specify if it will be for just the upcoming QT, or to 
go towards the entire Season. Please find either 
me (enderfall) or unlockingthevault (my secondary account holding the 
donations) in client to make your donations.

Format of the QT:
 Each QT will be a
Swiss tournament with rounds lasting one (1) week long, similar to
the Classic League run by MMogg. There will be 5-6 rounds of Swiss
followed by a cut to the Top 8. If participation goes over 33
players, there will be 6 rounds, etc. The QT will start promptly 2
weeks after the release of the set in the client and run for
approximately 2 months. Prizes will be awarded to players in the Top
8 based on their final standings. Pairings during the Swiss rounds
will be run through DCI Reporter. At the end of each match, the winner 
will send the results denoting who won and in how many games to 
classicquarterleague@gmail.com including a screenshot of the final 
result.
How to Qualify for the Invitational: Players will
automatically qualify for the Invitational if they finish in the Top
8 in any single QT during the course of the Season. Players can earn
up to one (1) bye in the Classic Invitational for a second appearance
in the Top 8 of any other QT. Any Top 8 appearances beyond the first
2 will not
award additional byes.

The prize pool is as follows:

1st Place: Invitational Invite + 30 Tickets PLUS Choice of 1 from Lot A and Choice of 1 from Lot B
2nd: Invitational Invite + 20 Tickets PLUS Choice of 1 from leftover Lot A
3rd/4th: Invitational Invite + 12 tickets each PLUS Choice of 1 from leftover in Lot B
5th-8th: Invitational Invite + 8 Tickets PLUS Choice of 1 from Lot C or 2 from Lot D
